About Andrea Hughes, Astudio Productions

I was born and raised in Texas and started out in the printing business at the age of 17.  I spent many years commuting to New Jersey/New York to work with hi-profile clients such as Estee Lauder, Chanel and Fleer Skybox.

I started in the industry as a file clerk for the top salesperson of a print brokering company.  My natural sales skills and impressive work ethic placed me in the position to buy all types of printing for large corporation clients such as Frito Lay, Motorola and the American Heart Association. 

Now having been in the printing business for more than 20 years, I have been hands-on with design/web design, prepress and print manufacturing and understand the need for complete knowledge in all three areas. 

I have gained the reputation for getting the job done with perfection.  In fact, I am an extreme perfectionist; I have zero problems sitting on press until it’s right, staying up late with my web clients and/or running to a last minute commercial shoot to find the facing sun.  I find creative ways to work with my clients and have been known to say “let’s think about this…let’s move in this direction,” in order to match the client’s vision. 

Bottom line? Print, photography and web design make a huge difference in marketing flow.  In all my years in the print marketing business, I know that good design needs good photography.  This was my inspiration in combining my printing/web business with my photography business so that clients’ brands will market themselves.

I am a commercial photographer with a printer’s eye and bring it to life on the web. 

VISION to IDENTITY.  That’s my goal and desire for each and every client. After spending hours upon hours on a project, I love the feeling of elation when a job has gone to print or web.  I love being able to have that final project phone call with a client where I tell them, “I’m thrilled that you are thrilled.”
